August Events

I will be participating in two charity events this month, both of which happen to be taking place the same day.

On Saturday, August 17, I will be performing close-up magic at the Rush for a Cause Third Annual Family Sports Blitz from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Rush for a Cause is a foundation supporting catastrophically injured student athletes, and its major fundraising event is held all day at the Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School athletic field (here). In addition to entertainment, a wide variety of student athletic activities will be conducted, including football scrimmages and a cheer clinic. For more information see this article.

Later in the day will be the Dog Days of Summer event benefiting animal rescue. Its location will be Wallace Lake in Berea, in the Cleveland Metroparks Mill Stream Run Reservation (here). This event will take place from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. I have been asked to do balloon twisting from 3:00 – 4:00. Visit the website of the sponsoring organization, Hand Me Down Dobes, for more info.

These are both excellent charities, worthy of your support. See you there!
