Thanks in part to his successful A&E TV series Mindfreak, Criss Angel is one of the best-known contemporary magicians. As a child growing up in Long Island, Christopher Sarantakos had a burning desire to succeed, whether in music or in magic. In Mindfreak: Secret Revelations he describes the single-minded dedication, hard work and perfectionism that enabled him to attain his goals.
The book concludes with instructions for performing 40 magic tricks (“Mindfreaks”). Although some are surprisingly “old school” coming from such a cutting-edge magician, they are well-taught, amply illustrated, and effective.
